Mango "A King Of Summer Fruits"
In the whole world for everyone summer is synonymous with the mango season.From kids to adults, everyone loves mango because of its delicious and mouth watering taste.The mango is a juicy stone fruit belonging to the genus Mangifera, consisting of numerous tropical fruiting trees, that are cultivated mostly for edible fruits.
The mango is native to South and Southeast Asia, from where it has been distributed worldwide to become one of the most cultivated fruits in the tropics summer.It is the national fruit of India and the Philippines. The season of mango starts as early as the last weeks of April and lasts up to the end of mid-July.The English word "mango" originated from the Tamil word "māṅga" via Portuguese.As there are many countries that produces mangoes but the Pakistani and Indian variety of mangoes are very popular in the world.

Mangoes are highly aromatic, sweet, rich in taste, and have a mouth watering taste, although the taste and texture of the flesh varies by its different types. Some having a soft, sour and sweet, pulpy texture similar to an overripe plum, while others like a cantaloupe or avocado and some may have a fibrous texture.

Well, there are more than one hundred types of mangoes available all over the world. Some the most famous types of mangoes are:
1. Tommy Atkins: This Florida variety is a mild and sweet flavored, with dark red blush often covers much of the fruit with green and orange-yellow accents.

3. Kent: This Florida variety is a sweet and rich flavored, coloured dark green having large oval shape.
4. Kesar: This Indian variety is a sweet flavored, fiberless mango which can range from green to yellow skin with a round shape.
5. Chaunsa: This Pakistani variety is a highly aromatic, sweet, creamy and rich flavoured,with green and yellow accents.
6. Anwar Ratole: Arguably the best tasting mango if you ask a mango lover.This Pakistani variety is a highly aromatic, superb, juicy, tangy,sweet and rich flavoured with green and yellow accents.
7. Alphonso Mango : This was an exquisite and expensive Indian variety of mango.It is a highly aromatic, pleasantly tart, juicy, sweetflavoured with dark golden yellow accents.
8. Alphonse: This Indian variety is a mild flavored, firm fleshed mango which can range from purple to yellow skin with an oblong shape.

Mangoes can be eaten raw or ripe and are widely used in different cuisines across the world. Sour, unripe mangoes are used in chutneys, pickles while sweet and rich flavoured used to make juices, smoothies, ice cream, fruit bars, raspados, aguas frescas, pies and sweet chili sauce. It is also used in preserves such as moramba, amchur (dried and powdered unripe mango).As there are more than 1000 recipes made by mango but it alone tastes the "BEST". 1. Aamras: A popular thick juice made of mangoes with sugar.
2. Mango chilli: A dried mango coated in sugar and chilli.

5. Mango cake: A cake made up with mangoes.
Despite of its rich flavoured taste, Mangoes are excellent source of iron,copper beta carotene, vitamin A and potassium. It is very helpful to fight cancer, lower cholesterol, alkalize the body, aid in weight loss, reduces kidney stones, regulate diabetes, help digestion, clean your skin.
